FAXOL dissolves oil.

 

FAXOL F80 Kompakt is a dispersing agent. Its composition is such that it attracts both water and oil and fat. FAXOL F80 Kompakt is only activated when it is brought into contact with water. It lasts as long as there is moisture. While it is taking effect, each FAXOL molecule attaches itself to a oil/fat and water particle.

 

In this manner, the oil is split continuously into ever smaller parts. The fragmentation into smaller parts increases the surface of the stain a millionfold. The more surface area means more contact with oxygen and a larger area for bacteria and micro organisms to disintegrate the oil and fat.

 

At the end of the process so-called micelles (tiny particles with approx. 0.0000001 mm in diameter) are left, whose structure allows them to be easily absorbed and broken down by natural micro organisms. The consequence is a rapid acceleration of the biological decomposition and in the long run the complete dissolution of the stain in a natural, biologically harmless manner.
